One of our Winter Routes, this one rides well whatever the weather's been doing before the ride*
It's a decent length for a winter ride, but on a Sunday morning, if the sun makes an appearance, we'll head out to take on the 27.3 miles with a view to getting back to Hitchin Town Square by about 1pm.
There's a lovely section of purpose built tarmac cycleway from Luton to Batford, offering respite from any slog we may have encountered getting to that point. You even get to meet Eric and Earnie on the way!
* Oh yes, there will be mud!
